Thoroughly Impressed by the Image Stabilization on the Canon 55-250 Lens

I am terrible with telephoto zoom lenses as my hands shake a lot but even I am capable of achieving great shots with the Canon 55-250 Lens. The main reason for this is the build in image stabilizer that helps you get crystal clear shots even when fully zoomed in. This is something that I was surprised to see on such a budget priced camera and I was even more amazed when I discovered how well it works out in the field. Its focus range obviously means that you are not going to be using this as your walk around lens but it is compact enough to be carried around in your camera bag as a perfect supplement to your standard lens. I would recommend this lens to all budding photographers that want to expand their range of possibilities. You really will not have any regrets after buying this lens.

Draw by Seeing Things Flat

If you want to learn how to do better drawings, consider practicing with one eye closed. This will reduce your ability to percieve depth, and help you draw better because you will be more easily able to see things flat. Why do you want to see things as if they were flat? Because then you can focus more on the shape and measurements of what you are drawing, and that makes it easier to get the basic form right. Otherwise, you can get distracted by colors and shading and perspective tricks and this warps how you see (and how you draw) the actual shapes in front of you.
There is a simple way to describe the fundamental principle of closing one eye to see things flat: Draw what you see, not what you know. When you take away your preconcieved notions of how things look, then your drawings will begin to look more real. Much more real.
Very Good Camera

After about a month it stopped turning on, thus ending my photobook printing job. Obviously, I had been still using these instant flash cameras with the 26 pics and you get the film developed routine however I chose to take the plunge into ‘digital’ cameras particularly because our grown kids introduced us to Facebook and this business of taking pics and then (if one needed to) instantly transferring these pics (via the provided USB cable which comes wsith the digital camera) into the pc picture gallery and then onto Facebook! Fantastic display quality and good size digital camera. I had not dropped the camera or used it in any way beyond regular use. I turned it on yesterday and the LCD appears broken! I personally like the fact that it utilizes regular batteries offered at almost any retailer therefore it is always “ready to go”. I believe it is a fantastic digital camera for taking family photos, holiday, and so on. Sadly not many AA battery cameras are being offered anymore.
